Sam Francis

Managing Director

From the age of 20, Sam had decided she wanted to run her own company and started this journey by working in a Bar/Restaurant to gain knowledge in The Customer Experience.

Following this, she moved on into the SME environment and finally transitioned into the Corporate arena. This invaluable experience helped Sam decide how to shape her company and she felt ready to start up a niche IT support company specialising in being the best in class for service provision.

Sam is all about people and relationships and knew she had enough knowledge to make TEK the successful company it is today. Whether you are a customer, partner or supplier, it is all about Communication and Collaboration together with Honesty and Integrity.

She wanted to keep the company as a small tight knit team using technology to streamline all the processes to greatly improve efficiency, automation and productivity.

Overall, she is responsible for providing effective leadership, driving growth, ensuring financial stability, and managing the various aspects of the business to achieve the company’s objectives which she has achieved for over 20 years.

Kath Akturk

Operations Director

Kath joined our team in 2016 as our Operations Director. Sam, the MD and Kath originally worked together in IT in 1993 so their relationship was already cemented and both knew what they could offer each other. Kath is responsible for overseeing the company’s day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of various departments. Her primary objective is to improve efficiency and achieve operational excellence.

She excels in Strategic Planning essential for project delivery, Financial Management, ensuring our Clients are only paying for the service we provide, Process Improvement, Supply Chain Management and Team Management.

Kath has a background in Quality Assurance, implementing quality control measures to ensure products or services meet or exceed customer expectations. She is also very passionate about Performance Monitoring and Risk Management, continually identifying and assessing to mitigate any potential incidents.

Dave Elkins

Technical Manager

Dave joined TEK in 2010 having decided to completely change his chosen career in the motor industry. He is responsible for all aspects of our technical support both internally and externally and plays a crucial role in ensuring the success and growth of our technical centre.

Dave naturally thinks outside of the box to find solutions to difficult problems ensuring the processes are simplified to keep costs to a minimum for our customers. He establishes timelines and monitors progress to ensure that projects stay on track and are continuously improved.

He maintains high-quality standards in all areas of Quality Control, implementing control measures and ensure that testing and development processes are conducted according to industry standards whilst ensuring Health and safety protocols are maintained so that all staff members are trained on proper procedures and equipment usage.

Katy Gair

Service Delivery Manager

Katy joined TEK in 2012 having worked in the hospitality industry so had great experience in service delivery. She is now responsible for our warehouse and logistics division, managing our customer’s inventory, organising storage, ensuring all our customer’s orders are fulfilled accurately and on time to ensure we hit our 98% goal.

She is always looking at ways to streamline and implement logistics strategies to optimise the flow of goods and products through our warehouse, collaborating with suppliers and implementing new technologies and systems which have been key to our success.
